A Five Line Recipe

Poetry is a deal of joy and pain and wonder, with a dash of the dictionary. ~ Khalil Gibran

Try writing a five line poem today with this recipe:

Toss in one line for a joy but don't use the word. Show it.

Blend in another for a pain or sadness without including the abstract word.

Spice it up with a line of wonder revealed to the reader.

Add a dash of the dictionary.

End with a sprinkle of surprise.

Toss and stir to see what results. Then begin again.
