March In

Hearts leap from the marmalade. Mysteries abound created by elements of love and the weather.

As March ushers a kaleidoscope of flowers, "love" floats in the air. Mochingbirds trill their notes beyond windows. Pairing at nest sites, cormorants take turns to gather twigs for April clutches. Squawks of wild parrots rise above houses. Beak by beak black phoebes build moist earth into nests. Breezes fill with song sparrow songs.

March weather changes in an eye blink. Clouds send splashes of rain. A brush of azure erases the gray until then storms take over. Then the scene revolves.

Here's a heart on edge. Or is it about to take a chance?

The sea appears unsettled, not ready to make up its mind.

What surprises you today about love and the weather?
