Peak Experience


Take time to recall your peak experiences in life. They appeared on myriad levels.

Remember those that occurred in nature.

Senses soared during a hike through unknown land, into forests, past streams. The breeze of pine calmed an uneasy mind. On a rising path, feet sounded in musical sequences. Bird song  added its texture. 


Find awareness in recalled moments. If you have not experienced a mountain adventure, place yourself on this mountain trail.

Notice how oranges, yellows, and greens surround your hiking path. Blues bathe the sky above along with flying clouds.

Reach out to touch a leafy branch.

Breathe in the wonder and scents on the trail.


If you find your mind wrapped in problems, imagine observing them from a higher point. What if you were a soaring bird? Looking down, the problem diminishes.

Permit thoughts to cluster that energize happiness. Find that ecstatic, inner glow by delving into five joyful memories to sharpen peak experience.
