Common Places of the Mind

"We think of lifetimes as mostly the exceptional and sorrows."  - Jack Gilbert

What happens in the every day places?  How do we celebrate the common hours?

Poet, Jack Gilbert writes about the place when nothing happens.  He feels, "Our lives flow between the memorable."

What do we experience when writing on a page with a pen in practice? Loops and lines droop and drop upon the paper. On the computer, the letters' curves and angles pushed by fingers energize ideas from the mind's corridors. Where do thoughts float and flee in the moments?

The ordinary moment enriches without expectation.  Write about observations that bring joy.
