Grin Through It

Psychological Bulletin published an analysis of 138 studies about how facial expressions can influence emotional states. The analysis found smiles, frowns, scowls, and other expressions can amplify the associated positive or negative emotions.

This facial feedback effect indicates that in a stressful situation, a full-on smile may reduce stress levels.

Other research suggests body position, postures, and gestures can also influence how individuals feel.

Try a meditation:  Sit and relax. Breathe and smile. Feel happy and peaceful. Smile. Extend the smile. Grin as though you are delighted. Be silly. Relax the mind.

Grin through all challenges.
