Day's End



You are the caretaker of your day. Try this technique to quiet the mind and find sleep at the end of the day.

After you have settled into bed for the night, before going to sleep, return to the events of the day. Capture the moments and activities you encountered. Find the details in sights, sounds, textures, and scents.

Think of the people you met and talked to during the day's unfolding. If the mind starts to wander into other thoughts or worries, or thinking about what you have to do tomorrow, bring it back to the present. Continue reviewing the day and wavelike motion of your breathing.



You will sleep soon.
