Come Alive!

“Don’t’ worry about what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” – Howard Thurman

“Know yourself to improve yourself.” – Auguste Comte

Become familiar with the mind’s workings and wanderings.

In order to be in touch with a way of knowing yourself and the world, move in different directions from typical patterns of response. Try something new.

Be gentle with yourself rather than judging actions and reactions.

Replace doubts with possibilities.

In what ways will you solve a situation?

Close your eyes.  Notice delights around you in sounds, scents, and textures.

Accept yourself in the present. Get a sense of time. Watch the second hand of a clock for a minute. Follow its circular pattern. Notice what you gave up in mind chatter.

Discover Enthusiam in a simple meal, a walk in nature, and a conversation with a friend.

Ovid suggested, "Chance is always powerful.  Let your hook always be cast in the pond. Where you least expect it there will be a fish."

Let Laughter in.

Come Alive!
