Find Your Best Self

Imagine: there's a tight little peach-pit core inside you with a number carved into it, and that number is the age of your best self. Most of the time people whine about not being at or being past their internal age. Not me. I'm in my golden age.

Creative Minders search for Optimism. It often arrives in lines and circles.

We do not focus on the disastrous aspects of life. We give high fives and chuckle when some people call us idealistic and unreal.

The challenges and courage necessary to wander into forests of darkness make us aware of possibilities. We beam our positivity into the shadows and discover wonders in those aspects of life.

We write, draw, or photograph situations for further consideration and understanding.

We avoid turning on the floodlights of pessimism when so much about the world situation does not shine brightly.

Inspiration arrives from finding personal ways to move into discovery. After the deluge of rain or in the right perspective, sunny viewpoints develop rainbow colors.

We take self-responsibility in our personal venue.  Our kindness, a smile to share, and simple courtesy affect those who swim in a pool of pessimism.

Spend time living from the inside out with wonder and awareness. If each one of us can reach one, even a tiny difference can change an outcome.

A morning runner happened onto a $20.  He looked up and down and around. Then he clutched it and wondered what next?  He had passed a community restroom often and noticed a cleaning lady always working to deal with what others leave. He noticed her body language of frustration with the morning's offerings from negligent individuals.

When she climbed into her truck, he found his moment.  He knocked on the door. She appeared frightened but rolled down the window.  He said, "I found this on the walk near you. I know how hard you work. This is for you."

She broke into a smile, "You should keep it. You found it."

He touched her hand with the folded bill, "It is for you"

Their smiles connected as they moved into different days.
