Into your Place

"It is in the thousands of days of trying, failing, sitting, thinking, resisting, dreaming, raveling, unraveling that we are at our most engaged, alert and alive." - Dani Shapiro

We move in moments to discover the place to exist in the "family of things."  We push through the valleys and climb the mountains.  Moving onward, we search for wonder.

Keep up the imagination to pursue ideas and create.

Listen for the wild geese.

Transform and KRE8

Roger von Dech says,"Creativity is the ability to take something out of one context and put it into another so it takes on new meanings."

He mentions the first person who looked at an oyster and considered it food. He reveals the transformation of sheep intestines to guitar strings and perfume vaporizer to gasoline carburetor.

Who figured out how to eat an artichoke or a pineapple?

Invent today.

To begin, imagine three ways to transform a spoon.

Find five uses for a plastic water bottle.

Discover a pencil holder's possibilities.

What else can a paper clip accomplish?

Make creative substitutions.

Search for ingenious replacements.

Play with ideas for items you use each day.

Amaze and amuse yourself.  You may invent the next Greatness.

Ten Word Autobiography

An interviewer asked musician David Byrne to come up with a seven word autobiography.  Byrne produced ten: unfinished, unprocessed, uncertain, unknown, unadorned, underarms, underpants, unfrozen, unsettled, unfussy.

Try it. Express an essential truth about yourself in ten words.

Alternate the playful with the serious. Define yourself as a work-in-progress with positivity and possibility. Understand what you need and focus on becoming.

Drive into the center of yourself and spread out.
