Flip Emotions

Mary Oliver writes, "It's not the weight you carry, but how you carry it: books, bricks, grief."

How do you embrace situations, carry and balance them in their context?

During my morning run, the sight of a baby mouse curled on the pavement serves as a reminder of life's fragility. I look up to see dew drips on roses and a sky filled with motion. Clouds re-arrange and black phoebes begin their nests.  Who ran from their flip flop?

Admire both what's troubling and amazing in each moment.

As Mary Oliver says, "a love to which there is no reply."

Write to discover a seesaw between pleasure and pain. Flip from one emotion to another. Focus on images and weave emotions in a grateful way.
