Thanksgiving Writing

"My thanksgiving is perpetual…O how I laugh when I think of my vague indefinite riches. No run on my bank can drain it, for my wealth is not possession but enjoyment.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

Thanks by W.S. Merwin

Listen

with the night falling we are saying thank you
we are stopping on the bridges to bow from the railings
we are running out of the glass rooms
with our mouths full of food to look at the sky
and say thank you
we are standing by the water thanking it
smiling by the windows looking out
in our directions . . .

Celebrate the Best Holiday of the year in writing!

What's your Gratitude about? Where will it take you?

Write several lines about Thanksgiving.
