Nina Katchadourian’s Sorted Books project in 1993 initiated the concept of book spine poetry. Katchadourian collected titles and arranged them so the spines read like a sentence.
Maria Popova of Brain Pickings adapted the spine sentences into poetry, and the idea quickly spread.
