Experimentation with Words

"All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better," Ralph Waldo Emerson advised.

Experiment with words by a brain tease of word movement and associations.

Take a pen that flows ink with freedom on the page. Fountain pens work the best.

Sit in a friendly chair and begin to write words.

Start with the As.  Let words fly in sounds, scents and action.

Write five or ten and let the mind wander in wonder.

Add a made up word to see how it attracts words.

Don't stop the flow, regardless of the word that appears.

Avalance. Altitude. Audible. Amaze. Aroma. Attempt. Axity. Awe.

Notice how rhymes appear. Associations and connections will reveal exploration possibilities.

Play! Doodle lines, shapes and angles along with the words.

Open up and let it happen.

No worries. No judgments. Just fun.

Move on to the Bs. After a tackle of Cs take a break.

Return to write a paragraph without stopping from the top of the page to the bottom.

You will discover surprises.

Unexpected insights will arrive.
