A Recipe for Words

Lorenzo Peligrini goes through Switzerland's Risoud Forest to find the spruce trees whose wood can be made into quality violins.  After years of experience, this expert knows which trees will produce instruments with the most resonant tones. They grow slowly, have few knots, and need to have enough water to grow strong but not so much that they become mushy.

Creative Write:  If you were a master picker of words how would you start selecting and gathering the raw materials you need to craft your lyrical story?

Develop your own recipe: Choose a scent. Add two sounds.  Mingle three colors with two textures. What will a taste add? Fold in a metaphor to engage with the sensory imagery. Write into the simmer of mystery.
